What coaching isn't: Working with a life coach is unlike traditional psychotherapy in that our work is positive and future oriented, rather than trying to uncover and resolve past issues. Understanding what makes you 'tick' can be useful, but that isn't the focus of our work. Coaching is solution-focused, and works with already highly functioning individuals toward their ideals; whereas much of psychotherapy involves labeling, diagnosing, and providing "treatment" for disorders and pathologies. Coaching can also be more convenient, as it is often done via telephone.

Testimonials:
"I went through a long and agonizing separation and divorce with my husband of 17 years. I have a complex family dynamic that played a role in further complicating the divorce process. I was feeling desperate and confused, with a tremendous amount of sadness, hurt, guilt and anger when I started…almost more than I could endure. Kim gave me tools in which to manage my mental state and slowly heal my inner wounds. She helped me cope with my emotional turmoil, and coached me on helping my children deal with their distress over our divorce. Since then, I’ve been able to move forward into a happier, healthier relationship!" ~ H.M.
"Thank you, Kim!" With your help, I was able to better direct my efforts and implement a unique, effective marketing plan for my business. As a result, I've seen a significant increase in my client base in a short amount of time!" ~ Ranelle Anorga - Owner, Mainline Plumbing and Rooter
"I am a woman in her 30's who was feeling a little lost having reached most of my goals in life. I thought that I had it all and was waiting for the feeling of satisfaction to set in. It did not. Instead, I became overwhelmed by so many thoughts. There were so many things I wanted to do and felt that I should do. I was so confused. Not wanting to wait any longer for the answers to drop out of the sky, I decided to seek the advice of an expert. I was looking for a life coach who was approachable, had convenient times and who could tell me in a structured way, how to deal with these thoughts and feelings. When I met Kim, I knew immediately she fit the bill for what I was looking for. I felt comfortable, at ease, but most of all understood! Being a healthcare professional, the cognitive approach was something easy for me to understand and utilize right away. The goal setting with personal feedback helped to put everything into perspective without the stress! It has been 2 months since the sessions, and I couldn't have been happier. My life has turned around and I feel excited and not dreadful about my future! Thank you, Kim!" - T.J.
